Tread Magazine is a publication reflecting on the typographic landscape blanketing the spaces that instruct and dictate our commutes through ever-changing urban environments. Individuals are mostly oblivious to the space typography holds on floors and walls;  presenting vital information or clusters of insignificance. Stencilled typography in urban landscapes are symbolic of the movements and wayfinding of populations, its protruding textures and warped nature an indicator of touch and time. The ‘unnatural edge’ of stencilled type interacts with commuters, transforming type forms into a natural footprint representative of our current earth.
